Paul Novotny, a 30 year veteran of the Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office, received the endorsement of the House District 30A Republicans (Elk River, Big Lake, Big Lake Township, and Otsego) on Saturday, December 7th to fill the seat being vacated by Representative Nick Zerwas.
Novotny won nearly 87% of the vote in the primary election on January 14th.
The general election took place on February 4th, Novotny won with 63% of the vote!
Paul Novotny was sworn in to the state legislature on February 11th as the new Representative for House District 30A.

Novotny won the primary election on January 14th to be eligible for the special election. Tonight, February 4th, he won 1983-1141.

NOVOTNY SECURES PRIMARY WIN
On January 14th, Novotny won the Republican primary 1136 to 170, securing 86.98% of the vote.
